References in Terms and Conditions:

I. When making reference to the ‘company’, this means Angelo Hardwood Flooring and its employees working under its banner.

II. When making reference to the ‘customer’, this mean the name and/or company stated on our estimate provided.

III. When making reference to the ‘property’, this means the property stated on the estimate provided.

IV. When making reference to ‘restoration’, this means any sanding, buffing, repairs, staining, painting, lacquering and oiling of wooden flooring.

V. When making reference to ‘company goods’, this means any materials provided by Angelo Hardwood Flooring as agreed to on customer’s estimate.

VI. When making reference to ‘customer’s goods’, this means any materials provided by the customer for fitting by Angelo Hardwood Flooring as agreed to on their estimate.

Wood Flooring:

I. Wooden flooring is a product of nature, knots, grain and variation should be expected.

II. Samples provided can only provide an example of the overall floor; therefore if further samples are required they can be supplied upon request.

III. When supplying new wooden flooring to ‘match’ existing areas, we cannot guarantee a complete match even if the flooring is of the same species, manufacturer and/origin as all natural flooring changes over time due to sunlight, age and oxidization.

IV. When advising on the lifespan (sanding options) of any natural flooring, this may vary depending on the company chosen for the sanding process in the future.

V. We do not recommend selected wooden flooring in Bathroom areas or areas with high moisture content.

Carpets:

I. When fitting runners, the carpet may require either a border or whipping to the perimeters depending on customer’s selection, this may take up to 7 working days and when completed we will return to fit to selected areas.

Restoration:

I. When providing drying times the company will be as accurate as possible however this can only be used as a guideline and can vary depending on products used and manufacturers.

II. When providing patch tests to customer’s flooring or providing samples of finishes, this can only be used as a guide to the finished floor as the finish can vary depending on species, age, oxidization and products used on the flooring in the past (maintenance and finishes).

III. The company cannot be held responsible for any reaction to the varnishes/oils/paints we apply to the customers own boards, as over its lifetime the floor may have been in contact with numerous solutions or chemicals.

LVT and Vinyl Flooring:

I. When fitting any LVT or Vinyl it is important to ensure the subfloor is level in order for the flooring to sit flush. However if the customer chooses to have the subfloor maintenance provided and fitted by another the company cannot be held responsible for this.

Supply and Installation of Company’s Goods and Restoration Payment:

I. 50% deposit to be paid prior to work commencement (wood flooring/restoration), 70% deposit required prior to work commencement (all carpets, LVT and vinyl flooring); balance to be paid within 7 days of completion of work.

II. Trade Account customers have 28 days to pay the full amount of invoice from the date which appears on the invoice.

III. If installation or restoration is to be funded by customer’s insurance company, the terms of payment must be discussed and agreed to prior to work commencement, if not the company’s original payment terms remain in place.

IV. All goods provided remain the property of the company until full payment has been received.

Installation of Customer’s Goods only Payment:

I. 70% deposit require prior to work commencement; balance to be paid within 7 days of completion of work.

II. Trade Account customers have 28 days to pay full amount of invoice from the date which appears on the invoice.

Supply of Goods only Payment:

I. Complete payment required (and received) prior to order of any goods.

Delivery of Goods:

I. Delivery of goods may be chargeable and full payment must be received prior to order.

II. When delivering goods the full delivery address is required (including flat number and floor level) along with any loading restriction and parking restriction declared. The company will only deliver to the address given.

III. If a permit is required the customer must provide this as this may prevent the company from making delivery.

IV. When making delivery the company is not responsible for unloading goods above or below ground floor unless previously discussed and agreed.

V. Once delivery has been made a delivery note must be signed agreeing all goods have been received in good condition.

VI. Once delivery has been made the responsibility of the goods are with the invoice holder only and no longer the responsibility of the company.

Responsibility of Customer when Angelo Hardwood Flooring provides Supply of Goods and Fitting Services:

I. Confirmation of any order must be put into writing.

II. If work is not possible to commence at the agreed time and/or date agreed, this may incur an additional charge due to disruption of company’s working schedule.

III. If special preference of way of fitting is required, this must be put in writing and agreed to prior to work commencement and may incur an additional charge.

IV. If alterations are required to be made to the fitting or product(s) by the customer during or after completion this will be at an additional charge.

V. If goods order is cancelled after order has been placed a charge may be incurred (depending on manufacturer) and the company reserves the right to add a service charge.

VI. When fitting wood flooring, carpet, LVT or vinyl, the company cannot be held responsible for the subfloor we are fitting to. If repairs are required this must be discussed prior to fitting and may be at an additional cost.

Responsibility of Customer when Angelo Hardwood Flooring provide Restoration Services:

I. Confirmation of any order must be put into writing.

II. If work is not possible to commence at the agreed time and/or date agreed this may incur an additional charge due to disruption of company’s working schedule.

III. If special preference of way of restoration is required, this must be put in writing and agreed to prior to work commencement and may incur an additional charge.

IV. If alterations are required to be made to the product(s) by the customer during or after completion this will be at an additional charge.

V. If after stain, lacquer, paint or oil is applied the floor is disturbed by anyone including pets and requires further maintenance, this may be at an additional cost.

Responsibility of Customer when fitting Customer’s Own Goods only:

I. Confirmation of any order must be put into writing.

II. If work is not possible to commence at the agreed time and/or date agreed this may incur an additional charge due to disruption of our working schedule.

III. If special preference of way of fitting is required, this must be put in writing and agreed to prior to work commencement and may be at an additional change.

IV. If alterations are required to be made to the fitting or product(s) by the customer during or after completion this will be at an additional charge.

V. All materials required must be made available and ready at time scheduled for fitting.

VI. If correct materials are incomplete or missing and delays are incurred or the company is required to provided additional materials not specified in customer’s estimate this may be at an additional charge.

Responsibility of Customer when the Company is Supplying Goods only:

I. Confirmation of any order must be put into writing and full payment made.

II. Responsibility of the amount ordered remains solely with the customer and the company cannot be held responsible for any goods unused.

III. If goods order is cancelled after order has been placed a charge may be incurred (depending on manufacturer) and the company reserves the right to add a service charge.

IV. If delivery is required this must be agreed to prior to order and could be at an additional charge, prices vary depending on order size and distance required to travel.

When in Customer’s Property:

I. All areas where work is to occur to be cleared of all furniture.

II. If furniture has to be moved an additional charge may be incurred, we will be as careful as possible however if damage occurs this will be the customer’s responsibility.

III. Electricity must be available and must be of sufficient quality to accommodate our machinery.

IV. The company does not remove or reconnect any household appliances, if the company is requested to do so we will employ the necessary qualified trade to remove and reinstall the item(s) and this will be at an additional charge.

V. The company cannot be held responsible for damage which may be caused to ceilings and/or walls to the customer’s property and/or joint owned properties, due to vibration from the work which is being carried out.

VI. The company is not responsible for any dependents, minors or pets whilst working in the property.

Skirting, Frames and Doors:

I. When cutting, removing or hanging skirting, frames and doors the company will be as careful as possible, however should redecoration be required this is at the responsibility of the customer.

II. If cables are accidentally cut whilst working in the customer’s property; if they do not conform to the current building regulations the company cannot be held responsible.

Underfloor Heating

I. It is up to the customer to ensure they purchase a product suitable for underfloor heating as not all products are suitable.

II. The sub floor temperature (NOT air thermostat) must be set so the temperature hitting the back of the flooring boards does not exceed 27c. The customer must also use a humidifier to replace lost moisture, especially in the winter months.

III. You must have a valid certificate from the underfloor heating installers/manufacturers confirming the system is suitable for wooden flooring and has been correctly installed not to exceed 27c sub floor temperature.

IV. Prior to the company fitting any flooring on an underfloor heating area, the customer must ensure it is in good working order and if requested a demonstration may be required.

Complaints and Returns:

I. If a manufacturing or fitting fault is found in any flooring this must be reported to the company within reasonable time.

II. The company reserves the right to refuse any returns of unused wood flooring, laminate and LVT.

III. If wood flooring, laminate, LVT is ordered and no longer required prior to delivery/collection, the flooring can only be returned to the manufacturer based on their discretion, and the company cannot be held responsible for this. A charge for return may be required by the manufacturers, and the company reserves the right to add an admin fee.

IV. If agreed, goods to be returned can only be returned un-opened, in a satisfactory and sellable conditioned.

V. Carpets purchased cannot be returned as once ordered they are cut to customer’s size.

VI. Although the company can provide advice, it is the customer’s responsibility when choosing the flooring and to ensure they are confident with their selection prior to order and the company cannot be held responsible.

By paying a deposit or on instruction of work to commence you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. If payment for goods and/or services is not received prior to or on the designated time, the company reserves the right to instruct our payment enforcement team to act on the company’s behalf. Property in the goods shall not pass to the buyer until all payments have been made in full.

Angelo Hardwood Flooring reserves the right to change our terms and conditions at any time.
